United Peace Officers Against Crime
"An Organization Created By Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Deputies since 1988."
ABOUT
UPAC has a long term vision to heal communities by breaking the cycle of youth violence from the ground up. Through partnerships with law enforcement, educators, local businesses, community leaders and local government, we offer youth the following opportunities:
SCHOLARSHIPS – Thanks to the outstanding support from the community and local business leaders, program leaders of UPAC are able to provide scholarships to students from within Los Angeles County on an annual basis.
Summer Camp - Our summer camp allows inner city youth an opportunity to explore nature, build everlasting relationships, have outdoor experience and so much more.
BEHAVIOR PROGRAMS - Our 24- week curriculum empowers both parents and youth with the tools necessary to lead productive and successful lives.
SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES – UPAC has a desire to make a strong impact on juvenile related crimes by partnering with public schools and the District Attorney’s Office. The objective is to promote an information campaign to speak at public school assemblies. Each year, we are able to reach thousands of students, explaining the dangers of gun violence, gang participation, drug usage and respect for parental authority.
